Dear Parents, Families, and Friends,

Welcome back to the 2025–2026 Academic Year!

As we begin another school year at the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the opportunities ahead. This year brings new challenges, fresh faces, and a renewed commitment to the growth and success of every MASE
student.

While we bid farewell to several valued faculty and staff members who have retired, earned promotions, or pursued new personal paths, we are thrilled to welcome a number of talented new teachers and staff to the MASE family. You’ll have the opportunity to meet them during our upcoming Open House and New Parent Meet and Greet.

Thanks to focused instruction and targeted interventions, academic achievement at MASE is on the rise. I am energized and fully committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. I’m also proud to share that we ended the 2024–2025 school year with significant accomplishments. Preliminary TCAP/EOC scores—including data on student growth and performance levels (Mastered, On Track, etc.)—have been received and will be shared with parents and students in the coming weeks.

The first day of school is Monday, August 4, 2025. Our regular school hours are:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Doors open daily at 7:00 AM for breakfast.

We want—and need—your active involvement in your child’s education. Your support is essential to your scholar’s success throughout their middle and high school journey. I look forward to seeing you, hearing from you, and working together to ensure individual and collective success for our students this year.

As we embrace the future, we remain grounded in the traditions that define our school community. MASE is a special place, and I sincerely thank you for choosing our charter school.
Our goal remains strong and clear: to continue Raising the Bar. We are FAMILY FIRST, united by a common mission for student success. BEST IS THE STANDARD!

Sincerely,

Rodrick Gaston
Executive Director
